Introducing HairClone’s Laboratory Technician, Ximena! Ximena graduated from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala with a Molecular Biotechnology Degree in June  2025, where she gained a strong background in biotechnology and cell culture.

Throughout her degree, Xime obtained advanced knowledge in molecular biology. For her thesis she gained practical experience investigating the degradation of post-harvest sugarcane residue by soil fungi; she also completed internships in a molecular biology laboratory and at the Biotechnology Studies Centre at the university, where she focused on genetic engineering techniques. Xime also participated in, along with presenting a poster at, biotechnological conferences.

Since joining the team, Xime has become skilled in cell culture, sample handling, the processing and documentation for follicle banking, and has gained knowledge and understanding of regulatory standards.

Outside of the lab, Xime is a keen artist; a natural talent that shows when working with microscopic samples. She also enjoys reading Jane Austen novels, cooking, and drinking a good cup of coffee.

Xime is already an invaluable member of the team, and her knowledge and expertise is key for furthering HairClone’s goal of making hair loss history!
