HairClone is pleased to welcome PhD Student Intern, Chantelle Endeley to their research team. Chantelle has joined HairClone as part of her Professional Internship for PhD Students (PIPS) placement, which complements her PhD training being carried out between Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.
Chantelle is completing a PhD as part of the BBSRC-funded Nottingham Doctoral Training Programme (DTP); a partnership between Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham. Her PhD is focused on conducting research on the mitotic cell cycle using a yeast model organism to investigate and identify potential resistance mechanisms which could occur when treating cancer.
Chantelle will be applying her knowledge in cellular regulation along with laboratory skills in order to complement HairClone’s ongoing research into assessing mechanisms of action for topical solutions as part of an Innovate UK government grant. She will also be supporting the progression of HairClone’s cell therapy towards clinical application.
Since obtaining a BMedSc in Medical Science from The University of Birmingham in 2016, Chantelle has gained a broad range of experience in data analysis, genomics, marketing and research techniques. HairClone are excited to work with Chantelle and benefit from her broad range of expertise over the next three months and hope to provide some insight into research within a biotech company in contrast to an academic settings.
